Use this form to create an electronic memo to request an agenda item to a City of Oakland Committee or Council meeting. Note, it can take up to 12 weeks for this process to be completed. Many questions or concerns can get resolved by using an Information Request Form to ask a question or get information directly from your council member (with about 2 weeks response time) if your item is regarding a request for information. The City's Sunshine Ordinance requires the City to give 10 days advance notice of meetings to the public.
Before you submit this form, search to see if your topic or issue has been discussed in past Council Meetings, with the Agenda Item Search Tool, and check to see if a related issue is already on the agenda. If it is on the agenda, submit a public comment through the Speaker's Card.

PLEASE NOTE:
-
A separate request must be completed for each item for scheduling. The Agenda Item Request Form must be completed and submitted by 4:00 pm on the Monday three weeks in advance of the requested meeting via this form.
-
Requests must be submitted in electronic format by 12:00 noon on the Monday preceding the relevant Rules & Legislation Committee meeting.
-
Items added to the agenda may take up to six (6) weeks to review, and an additional six (6) weeks for the city to respond (on average) from the moment the request is submitted.
